Re: RAINEY
hi - I'm Des Rainey, Auckland, NZ - I relate back in time to the Samuel Boyd Clarke who left Kilrea and went to Canada. I have a sister Eileen but don't know if this is the same Eileen already in the Clarke family tree ore a new one!!!!
And I'm VERY keen to learn more about the Gertrude and Samuel Rainey's mentioned.
My Dad's father was Samuel Boyd Rainey of Kilrea, then Milford, Donegal. My dad was Alexander Rainey (there were earlier Alexanders also).
PLEASE GET IN TOUCH WITH ME AT: des@earlymath.com or skype me allblackdes or phone +649 4198356.
By family tree database is down right now, so I don't have all the dates to hand, but the Gertrude Rainey mentioned was my Grandmother who would have been born around 1920. She was from Salford, Manchester, but I believe her family were from Ireland. When the website is working properly again I'll be able to put all the dates and family connections back up, and I'll be in touch.

Leas Cliff Hall, The Leas, Folkestone, Kent CT20 2DZ, Telephone: 0844 8471776 / 01303 228600
Hi I am intereted in genealogy and have recently found out from my brother that he used to dance at Leas Cliff Hall in the 50s when he was stationed at Dover while serving in the York and Lancs reg, coincidentally my father told him he did the same thing when serving in the Armed Forces in the 20s/30s/40s. I would be interested to know if there are any photos taken of people attending the dances there in these periods and if so if it is possible to view them, I would be grateful for any tips or help to point me in the right direction regards

I am in the process of gathering a geneaology account of all Titanic survivors - to which you have a link to in your site - I was wondering if you know if Charles and Ada had any children - I cannot discover from your site, if you live in the UK or not - but I thought I would let you know that I have a photo of Ada's Grave from Weston, Southampton and would be willing to post it to you if you wish me to
The inscription reads " In loving memory of
Ada Maria Clarke
Passed away February 8th 1953 aged 69
Survivor of the Titanic Disastor 1912
Also Charles V. Clarke
her beloved husband
who lost his life on s.s. Titanic
Re-united
in loving memory of
May West
Who passed away april 13th 1966
aged 77 years
at rest"
I also wondered if you knew who May West was
I can be contacted Houghian@aol.com
All the best with your research

I would like the photo of the grave.I think that because of the close ages(Charles b1883, Ada b1884 and May b1889), May might be Ada's sister. Also to be in the same grave(I assume she is?)she must be related. At this monent in time I am not sure if Charles and Ada had any children.

Drop me an E-mail and I will gladly send you the picky - I tried linking to your name on the site - but it didn't work -
all the best Houghie
Cheers for that, made it a link back to your page.
That's great information, thanks, we will be in touch by email! We don't know who May West was, but we'll try and find out now.
